Nogales Arizona Real Estate
Arizona’s largest international border town, Nogales is a bustling checkpoint on the U.S.-Mexico border. With a population near 30,000 it’s also one of the largest centers in Southern Arizona, and leads the way as the hub of the state’s burgeoning high-technology corridor. Nogales’ affordable cost of living and abundant employment prospects have contributed to its steady growth in recent years.
A wide variety of investment and housing options exist in Nogales real estate, with pricing ranging from $1-200,000 to close to $1,000,000 for higher-end locations. Nogales’ long history has left it with some beautiful examples of Spanish Colonial, Queen Anne, and Pueblo Revival architecture, most of which dates back to before Arizona became a state in 1915. The Santa Cruz County Historical Courthouse in downtown Nogales is one of the city’s treasures, built in 1904 from stone quarried near Nogales.
Much of Nogales real estate is located in a pass between the Tumacacori and Patagonia mountain ranges, an area used for centuries before European settlement as a migratory path and trade route. Now the last stop on Interstate 19 before Mexico, Nogales is mirrored on the other side of the border by a Mexican city that's also called Nogales. The combination of these cities has resulted in a large international metropolitan region full of cultural diversity and historical character.
